Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Company

Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Company is a state-owned enterprise (SOE) and a subsidiary of Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA). The company successfully constructed its hydropower station (NJHEP) by diverting the Neelum River, which then merges into the Jhelum River downstream of Muzaffarabad.

With an installed capacity of 969 MW, NJHEP is capable of generating around 4.663 billion units of clean and affordable energy annually. The project consists of a complex underground tunneling system, including a 48 km headrace tunnel, a 3.5 km tailrace tunnel, an underground powerhouse, and underground transformers.

NJHPC CEO Job Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the NJHPC CEO position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

➤ Education:

A degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering is required. A Master’s degree in a relevant field, Project Management, or an MBA will be a plus.

➤ Experience:

Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in senior roles managing hydropower projects.

➤ Age Limit:

Maximum age 62 years.

➤ Contract Duration:

Initially three years, extendable based on performance.

➤ Salary & Benefits:
