Step 1: Obtain the Application Form

To start the process, the widow must visit the nearest Zakat Office or District Social Welfare Office to get the application form. Those who prefer online access can download the form from the Punjab Government’s official website.

Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form

Once the form is obtained, the applicant must carefully provide essential details such as full name, CNIC number, address, and contact information. Along with the completed form, it is mandatory to attach copies of the widow’s CNIC, her husband’s death certificate, and a domicile certificate as proof of Punjab residency. Before proceeding further, the form must be verified by the local Zakat Committee Chairman.

Step 3: Submit the Application Form

After the verification process, the widow needs to visit the nearest Zakat Committee Office or Social Welfare Department to submit the application. It is advisable to keep a copy of the submitted form for personal records to track the process later.

Step 4: Verification & Approval

Once the application is submitted, the Punjab Government will conduct a thorough verification process to ensure all provided details are accurate. If the application meets the eligibility criteria, an SMS notification will be sent to the applicant confirming the approval.

Step 5: Receive the Bewa Sahara Card

After approval, the widow will be issued the Bewa Sahara Card, which will enable her to receive monthly financial assistance. The stipend will be transferred directly to the bank account or will be available for cash collection at designated payment centers.
